Engel & Völkers Intown Atlanta is giving back to the community in a big way.
In 2017, the luxury residential real estate shop in Virginia-Highland participated in over 12 different community-orientated events around Atlanta, raising thousands for charities including the Special Olympics, Toys for Tots and Habitat for Humanity.
The longstanding shop made up of 22 dedicated advisors participated in several fundraisers, challenges and philanthropic events in the communities they serve and they couldn’t be happier with the outcome. The shop is built upon the idea of giving back to the community they are surrounded by and the people that trust them with their home or who are seeking advice in order to purchase a new home.
License Partner Scott Askew reminds the advisors during every staff meeting, “We are very fortunate to do what we do and to own what we have. Let’s make sure to give back to our community along the way.”
And they did.
Advisors from the Intown Atlanta shop participated in the following community events.
Special Olympics Polar Plunge
Engel & Völkers Intown Atlanta License Partner Scott Askew participated in the 2017 Special Olympics Polar Plunge, a fun, frosty event where supporters of Special Olympics dress in costumes and dive into freezing Lake Acworth. Scott’s jump into the cold lake was a personal statement of his support for the great Special Olympics cause. The total amount raised was $115,000 and helped 1,352 athletes participate for free in Special Olympics Georgia programs! Our office raised just shy of $5,000 - making Engel & Völkers Intown Atlanta the top individual fundraiser for the event.

He destroyed the fundraising record and raised more than $172,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association – making him the #1 All-Star of the event. He loved it so much, you can catch him on the dance floor again in 2018!
